Tony Adams played down talk of a Pompey goalkeeping crisis and insisted: David James is fine.
The Blues manager has taken steps to slam concerns James is facing a period out of action ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup fourth-round clash with Swansea.
Those fears emerged after Harry Redknapp said the England international is carrying a knee injury.
Redknapp revealed he had been told by the 38-year-old he was being hampered by the problem and believed he would be sidelined.
But Adams promised James does not need an operation after having an injection last week.

YEAH that would be a good one !!! even if we dont play him it would send them down
we need to find a young promising keeper … james has only got few years left

….but the fee may save them from going into administration (and an automatic 12 point deduction).

I would guess that the loss of Davis would cost them far more points than the 10 they would lose for administration!
